      • The scope of this collaboration is to perform a fire and explosion mitigation assessment for FCC-hh. This includes preventing fires from starting, detecting and extinguishing quickly those fires that do start and preventing the spread of fires which have not been extinguished.

      • This work focuses on the definition of how to collect, analyse and share ignition probabilities of components, systems and ifrastructures that are commonly used in particle-accelerator based research facilities. The work embraces the establishment of a book of knowledge concerning the requirements and concepts of systematic data collection and data quality annotation as well as the specification of an information system for ignition probabilities.

      • This project defines a performance-based fire risk assessment for the underground facilities of FCC-hh. It evaluates the merits of different design approaches and provides input to come to an appropriate outline of the facilities. The work includes evaluating safety of the occupants with tenability conditions (temperature, heat radiation, concentration of oxygen, toxic species, etc.) being evaluated along the escape paths alongside evacuation dynamics. The study identifies an appropriate model among the different existing ones and simulates emergency transportation in the tunnel.
